October Schedule
for Joan Beaty
Andrew Stalteri here 🙂
Â
I will start with Joan’s schedule for October and then I will tell you about my first massage with her!
(Tomorrow)Â Friday, October 11th - 12pm-8pm (6 spots left)
Friday, October 18th - 7am-3pm (8 spots remaining)
Friday October 25th - 12pm-8pm (all times available)
Joan is likely to receive her RMT (Registered Massage Therapy) licence by the first week of November but don’t let her new licence fool you, this girl gives a-hell-of-a  “Deep Tissue” massage.Â

She started off by really getting to know me and what I wanted from her treatment. As both a Registered Kinesiologist and Athletic Therapist, her background prepared her very well for people who exercise.Â
Â
I’ve been sitting a lot at my computer over the last few months and since I normally move a lot, the lack of mobility is starting to cause fatigue and headaches (which I never get by the way). She did a very thorough movement assessment, asked me about pressure, and gave me a guide to her treatment. Â
***Note: I never start by telling a therapist what pressure to apply because to be honest, I feel like they should know by touching me (or at least communicate during a massage) when they need to go harder or softer. I do this because not every area can be worked on hard, even if I want a deep tissue massage. So just like every massage I’ve had in the past, I said that I want her to feel and communicate with me what she felt.Â
Perfect Pressure
Now, this is 100% preference but for me, her pressure was perfect! Even if it wasn’t, she tested harder in some spots and lighter in others to see what my muscles responded to – it was like she was having a conversation with my body and I loved that.Â
Â
Once she was done, I felt amazing! I wish I could’ve had my whole body done but we could only cover my back, neck and shoulders in the hour. Tomorrow, I’ll be getting my legs done 🙂 (I’m just waiting to see what’s available after you.
Â
She used a therapeutic combination of Athletic Therapy, Massage Therapy and Stretch Therapy, mixing and matching until she felt the release she was looking for and what my body needed.Â
Â
With all that said, whether you have benefits or not, if you’re looking for a massage therapist, Joan is a top pick from me. She will get your body moving, loosen up those knotted muscles and stretch out the remaining tightness. She’s experienced, educated and passionate, and it shows!
