Our Sports Physiotherapy and Sports Psychotherapy program combines evidence-based physical assessment and treatment with sport-specific training for young athletes ages 4 to 17.
We identify and correct muscular imbalances, build functional movement patterns that match the demands of their sport, and develop psychological skills such as focus, confidence, emotional regulation, and pre-competition preparation. Sessions are private, programming is individualized to the athlete’s age, sport, and competitive level, and all disciplines operate under one roof so less falls through the cracks.
Programs can include up to three sessions per week depending on the athlete’s needs, and most services are covered under insurance with direct billing available.
A physiotherapist, or the physical therapy professional best suited to your child, performs a full movement screen and stress assessment.
Where are they sore after games? Are they stronger turning one direction than the other? Is the same injury showing up every season? We look for it.
Sports demand dynamic, high-stress movement over and over again. Screens, school desks, and overscheduling do not prepare kids for that. Sometimes too much training without enough recovery does not either.
We give you a clear and honest opinion on what we believe your child needs. We also take into account what coaches, trainers, and other professionals are seeing.
As a parent, you already know the mind often sets the tone. It can be the difference between pushing through adversity, walking away from the sport, or locking in when the moment matters most.
Weekly or bi-weekly psychotherapy sessions build over time, covering confidence, fear, anger, self-doubt, focus, and game-day preparation.
Each session also includes an exercise component. That is our neurosomatic approach: neuro refers to the brain and nervous system, and somatic refers to the body. Emotions do not just live in your child’s head. They show up physically too.
Body and mind are worked on together: in the gym, in the game, and in daily life.
Sessions are scheduled around your child’s activities and may include weekly exercise, along with weekly or bi-weekly physiotherapy and psychotherapy.
Frequency matters, especially early on. We need to see how your child responds to each session so we can adjust in real time. Too much time between sessions makes it harder to tell what is working and what is coming from everyday life, sport, or stress outside the clinic.
Building confidence, facing one small fear, intro to visualization.
Understanding fear, becoming a 'feelings detective', noticing where emotions live in your body.
Spotting patterns, going deeper, preparing for feeling-specific work.
Channeling energy, intensity and calm resets, 'red to blue' breathing.
Releasing heaviness, opening the body up, rewriting the inner voice.
Finding the fun again, rhythm exercises, reconnecting to why you play.
Process over outcome, learning patience, healthy vs. fragile confidence.
Letting go, forgiveness, trust exercises, trying something new.
Putting it all together; tools in real time, pre-game routines, patterns.
When your heart is in it and it just feels good to play.
Sessions may not follow the exact order – we go at your child’s pace and address what comes up first. But, overtime we cover everything.

At High Octane Training + Therapy, we believe movement is medicine because the right movement changes more than just the body.
It can improve confidence, reduce fear, and build resilience. It helps young athletes access more of their potential.
Young athletes do not only break down from doing too much. Sometimes they break down from being pulled between two extremes:
high demands in sport and too much time sitting, studying, scrolling, or recovering poorly in between. Whether a child is overtraining
or simply underprepared for the physical and mental demands of sport, the result can look similar: recurring injuries, rising
stress, frustration, and inconsistent performance.
But this program goes beyond sport performance. It helps your child reconnect with their body, understand what it is telling them,
and build a relationship with it that is sustainable, rewarding, and valuable long after their sports career ends.
We specialize in combining health and wellness with what we believe to be your child’s true mental and physical potential. We take great
pride in seeing a young athlete achieve something they did not think was possible. That is the power of combining medical professionals
with fitness professionals under the same roof.
For us, it is not enough to say your child will feel better or perform better. Our goal is to help them generate more power without breaking down, recover more effectively, think more clearly under pressure, and access their best performance more consistently.
Because physio, mental health, and training all happen with the same team, your child gets a more connected plan and
a better chance at long-term progress.
